1. Basic Concepts

Graphite Sheet Reinforced with tanged metal insert is made from B201 Flexible graphite sheet through specially pressing or sticking process. The insert materials can be SS304, SS316, Nickel, etc. It used in kinds of conditions, and various gaskets.
Temperature Resilience and High Elasticity: The central metal serrated core provides structural support, enabling the gasket to maintain excellent compression resilience despite drastic temperature fluctuations ranging from -200°C to 550°C (and even up to 850°C for short periods). It resists aging and embrittlement, effectively compensating for sealing gaps caused by changes in temperature and pressure. It typically achieves a recovery rate of ≥15% and a compressibility of ≥30%.
Strong Corrosion Resistance: Graphite’s chemical stability allows it to withstand environments with a pH range of 0–14 (including strong acids and alkalis) and effectively seal various media such as steam, mineral oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel, and seawater.
High Compressive Strength: Reinforced by the metal serrated core, it can withstand pressures of up to 500 bar.
3.Main Application Areas
Its most common application involves cutting or stamping it into gaskets of various shapes for use in flanges, valves, pump housings, and pipe connections; it is widely utilized in the following industries:
Petrochemicals: Sealing for various vessels, boilers, and piping systems.
Mining and Marine: Withstanding demanding operating conditions.
Power Generation and Metallurgy: Use in high-temperature, high-pressure steam systems and similar applications.
