PVC, also known as polyvinyl chloride in Chinese, is one of the world's most produced general-purpose plastics. PVC rods are made by mixing and extruding PVC resin with stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, plasticizers, colorants, and other additives.

Main characteristics of PVC Rod 

1.Good Mechanical Strength and Rigidity: Rigid PVC has good strength and rigidity, making it suitable for use as a structural material. However, its toughness is relatively poor, and it may break under severe impact.

2.Excellent Corrosion Resistance: This is one of PVC's most prominent advantages. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance against most inorganic acids, alkalis, and salt solutions, making it widely used in corrosion-resistant equipment in the chemical industry, such as storage tanks, pipes, valves, and fans. However, it is not resistant to certain organic solvents.

3.Flame Retardancy: PVC is self-extinguishing and has a flame retardancy rating of UL94-V0, making it a flame-retardant material. This is due to its high chlorine content of 56%, which decomposes into chlorine gas during combustion, effectively blocking out oxygen.

4.Electrical Insulation: It exhibits excellent electrical insulation properties, making it suitable for applications such as wire and cable conduit and electrical trunking.

5.Cost-Effective and Easy Processing: The raw material is widely available and very affordable. It can be easily processed through various methods, including extrusion, injection molding, and welding.

6.Easy to modify: Its properties can be greatly adjusted by adding different additives.
