 About High Silica Fabric


FiHIGH SILICA FABRIC Made with continuous filament, 96% amorphous silica fibers, TOP SEALING HIGH SILICA FABRIC are widely used for applications that require high heat resistance, as well as abrasion and/or chemical resistance. Available in a variety of weights ranging from 18 oz/sy to 70 oz/sy, TOP SEALING HIGH SILICA FABRIC are widely used for the safety of personnel and equipment, and as thermal barriers to reduce energy costs.

2.Advantages of High Silica Fabric

Extreme Heat Resistance: It can operate stably at 1000℃ for extended periods and can even withstand instantaneous (within 15-20 seconds) flame impacts up to 1400℃-1600℃. Its softening point is close to 1700℃.

Comprehensive Stability: In addition to high-temperature resistance, it also possesses low thermal conductivity, good electrical insulation properties, excellent thermal shock resistance (e.g., no deformation after rapid cooling from 1090℃ to water), and outstanding chemical stability; it is insoluble in organic solvents and maintains stable performance in weak acids and weak alkalis.

Safety and Environmental Protection: As a material completely free of asbestos and ceramic wool, it is harmless to human health and meets the environmental and safety requirements of modern industry.

3.Main Types of Ramie Fiber Packing

High-silica fabric, with its superior performance, has a wide range of applications and is continuously expanding into high-end sectors:

 

Aerospace and Defense: This is one of the core application areas of high-silica fabric. It is used as a thermal ablation protection material for rockets, missiles, and spacecraft, and in the manufacture of key components such as nose cones, nozzles, and tail fins to withstand the extreme temperatures during high-speed flight or atmospheric reentry. According to public information, domestic high-silica products are widely used in this field, and some companies have established commercial collaborations with internationally renowned aerospace companies.

Firefighting and Industrial Protection: It is used to manufacture personal protective equipment such as fireproof suits, fire curtains, fire blankets, and high-temperature gloves, as well as welding protection and flexible connections for high-temperature pipelines.

Industrial High-Temperature Filtration and Metallurgy: It is used for high-temperature gas dust collection, liquid filtration, and the filtration and purification of molten metals (such as automotive and motorcycle exhaust filtration).
