1. Basic Concepts

 About Hypalon rubber sheet

Chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber sheet, also known as Hypalon rubber sheet. It's known for exceptional resistance to chemicals,

weathering, and UV resistance. It has an excellent mechanical & good abrasion properties even without reinforcing filters and has

reasonable resilience in grades over 60°shore A. It displays good resistance to heat, ozone, oil and weathering and also gives good

adhesion to metal. The recommended operating temperature range is between-40C to +125℃.

2.Advantages of Hypalon rubber sheet

Unmatched Outdoor Durability: The premier choice for applications exposed to harsh sunlight, ozone, rain, snow, and extreme temperature swings. Significantly outperforms materials like Neoprene, Nitrile (NBR), or natural rubber in outdoor settings.

Chemical Toughness: Handles oxidizing environments, acids, alkalis, and salt water reliably.

Fire Safety: Its self-extinguishing nature is crucial in applications requiring flame resistance.

Long Service Life: When properly formulated and installed, Hypalon sheets offer extremely long service lives, reducing replacement costs.

Versatility: Balances multiple critical properties well.

Ease of Fabrication: Can be easily cut, formed, and bonded (using specific Hypalon adhesives) or heat-welded/seamed to create complex shapes, linings, covers, and inflatables.

3. Main Applications

Hypalon sheet is favored wherever extreme weather resistance or specific chemical resistance is paramount:

Roofing Membranes: Single-ply membranes for commercial and industrial flat roofs (though facing competition from newer thermoplastics like TPO/PVC, Hypalon is still used).

Geomembranes & Pond/Lagoon Liners: For containment of liquids, especially where UV resistance and chemical resistance are critical (e.g., leachate ponds, secondary containment).

Inflatable Products:

Life rafts, life jackets, inflatable boats (RIB tubes), rescue craft.

Inflatable dams, bladders, fenders (marine bumpers).

Tank Linings: For chemical storage tanks processing acids, bleach, or other oxidizing chemicals.

Protective Covers & Tarps: Heavy-duty covers for equipment, trucks, aircraft, and sensitive outdoor machinery requiring long-term UV protection.

Gaskets & Seals: Used in applications exposed to weather, ozone, or specific chemicals.

Conveyor Belting: For specific environments requiring chemical/weather resistance.

Radiation Shielding: Used in some nuclear applications due to its stability.

Electrical Insulation: For outdoor cable jacketing or components needing weather resistance.
