1.Basic Concepts

Graphite corrugated tape is a strip-shaped sealing material made from pure expanded graphite (flexible graphite) through a special rolling process. Its core feature is the regular wavy texture (corrugated pattern) pressed onto its surface, giving it excellent compression resilience and sealing adaptability. It contains no binders or reinforcing fibers, is 100% graphite, and represents a high-performance, pollution-free sealing solution.

2.Advantages of Graphite corrugated tape

Graphite corrugated tape combines the inherent properties of flexible graphite with the mechanical advantages of a corrugated structure. Its core advantages are as follows:

Excellent Temperature Resistance: It can be used in oxidizing atmospheres from -200°C to +450°C; in non-oxidizing atmospheres (such as reducing and inert atmospheres), it can withstand temperatures up to +3000°C. It is one of the preferred choices for extreme high-temperature conditions.

Excellent Sealing Performance: Expanded graphite has natural creep and flowability, allowing it to penetrate even tiny flange defects and scratches. The corrugated structure provides multiple sealing barriers, ensuring zero-leakage sealing even under low bolt stress.

Excellent Compression Resilience: The corrugated structure acts like countless tiny springs, compressible under pressure and partially rebounding after pressure release. This effectively compensates for flange separation caused by system thermal cycling, pressure fluctuations, and vibration, ensuring a long-lasting and stable seal.

Excellent Chemical Resistance: It exhibits excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, salts, organic solvents, hydrocarbons, and other chemical media (except for strong oxidizing acids such as concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid). Its chemical stability is far superior to most organic gaskets.

Radiation and aging resistance: Composed of stable carbon elements, it is unaffected by radiation and will not age, harden, or become brittle like materials such as rubber, resulting in a long service life.

Safe, environmentally friendly, and easy to operate: Free of asbestos, halogens, sulfur, and other harmful substances, it is safe and non-toxic. Its soft texture allows for on-site cutting and wrapping according to flange dimensions, making installation convenient and requiring no special tools.

Low-stress sealing: Sealing is achieved without extremely high bolt torque, reducing the risk of flange deformation and bolt failure.

3.Main Application Areas

Graphite corrugated tape is a star product for static sealing in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive environments.
