About Arcylic fiber Packing

1. Basic Concepts

Acrylic fiber packing braided from high strength acrylic fiber with PTFE impregnated twice time. It has excellent properties of sealing, lubricating and resistant to chemical. The acrylic packing can be with or without oil. High elastic red silicone rubber core can absorb vibration.

About Arcylic fiber Packing

2.Advantages of Arcylic fiber Packing

Excellent chemical resistance: Excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, especially good at resisting:

Petroleum-based products (crude oil, gasoline, diesel, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil)

Animal oil, vegetable oil

Weak acid, weak base solution

Ammonia, brine, alcohol

Refrigerants (such as Freon)

Steam, hot water

Good temperature resistance: Usually suitable for temperatures ranging from -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +302°F). Some special formulations (such as high-content PTFE impregnation) may have a slightly higher upper limit (about +180°C). Stable performance within the commonly used temperature range.

Low friction coefficient & good lubricity: The impregnant provides good lubricity, reduces starting torque and running friction, reduces shaft/rod wear, and improves seal life.

Good wear resistance: Both the acrylic fiber itself and the impregnation treatment provide good wear resistance and can withstand a certain degree of reciprocating and rotating motion.

Flexibility and elasticity: The braided structure combined with the impregnation treatment makes the packing have good flexibility and resilience, can fit the sealing surface tightly, and adapt to certain eccentricity or vibration.

Self-lubricating (partial): The impregnant will slowly seep out during operation, providing a certain continuous lubrication effect.

Easy to install & low maintenance cost: Relatively soft, easy to cut and install. Reliable performance, long service life, and relatively long maintenance intervals.

3. Main Applications

Pump seals: Stuffing box seals (shaft seals) of centrifugal pumps, rotor pumps, reciprocating pumps, etc., especially suitable for pumps that transport petroleum products, lubricating oil, fuel oil, hydrocarbons, solvents, water (including hot water), weak acid and weak alkali solutions, ammonia, refrigerants, etc.

Valve seals: Valve stem seals (valve stem packing), used to control valves of the above fluids.

Agitator seals: Stirring shaft seals of reactors, mixing tanks, etc.

Compressor seals: Piston rod or packing seals of some medium and low pressure reciprocating compressors (pay attention to temperature and medium).

Shipbuilding industry: Seals of rudders, propeller shafts, deck machinery, etc.

Food and beverage industry: Equipment seals for non-strong acid and strong alkali food media such as edible oil, syrup, alcoholic beverages, etc., in compliance with relevant health standards (such as FDA, EC1935/2004).

Water treatment: Equipment for treating clean water, sewage (non-strongly corrosive), and chemical agents such as water pumps and valves.

General Industry: Various medium temperature and pressure conditions with rotating or reciprocating shafts, requiring sealing of oils, water, and chemicals.
